Is my phone supported?
Your mobile phone must be

- configured for WAP
- configured also for Internet access. If you are using GPRS, some
carriers require a GPRS access point (APN)
different from the WAP access point . For instructions, visit your operator's
web site or refer to the following
list of Internet APNs.
What does it cost?
Shoot&Send is free software.
However, your mobile carrier
will charge you for the GRPS/UMTS traffic for downloading the Shoot&Send
application (70 kilobytes). Additionally also for transmitting Shoot&Send
messages over GPRS/UMTS. A Shoot&Send picture message
ranges from 4 kilobytes to 30 kilobytes. Depending on photo
quality, which can be adjusted after starting Shoot&Send.
Typically, Shoot&Send messaging is very low-cost compared
to MMS, but please check the mobile data fees which apply to your
carrier subscription plan. A certain amount of monthly traffic might be
included in your subscription fee.
How does it work?
Shoot&Send uses a carrier independent, peer-to-peer infrastructure
for delivering messages from device to device, from device to Skype, and so
forth. This is called the
Vipera network.
Vipera implements its own IP based multimedia message delivery
and is independent of the MMS, SMS, billing and provisioning
services of mobile carriers.
